Inktober #21: Furious

Never a good moment. Some inconsistencies as per usual but tried to add a bit more of story in this one.

Inktober #20: Deep

Spelunking into a deep, underground cave city. Tried to give the spelunker (?) a mecha silhoutte as I was caught in two minds of whether to get rid of the 'ropes' or not.

Inktober #17: Graceful

A bit of colour this time round! Did the great man himself, Thierry Henry; there was nothing like the sight of him gliding down the field, leaving opposition players in his wake.

Inktober #16: Fat

Took inspiration from the character designs of 'The Skillful Huntsman' for this one. Still trying to get my technique sorted out before completely attempting a more original design.

Inktober #15: Mysterious

Missed a couple. Will try and catch up at some point. also really bad and remembering to upload these. Played around with a bit more shadows on this one, might be a little rushed... Nothing like a shadowy figure and a shadowy owl for a bit of mystery.

Inktober #11: Run

Mirror's Edge inspired, trying to figure out how to draw quicker and looser. Made a bit of a mess unfortuantely, had a brain fart rubbing out the pencil lines when I had just inked in her hair...deary me...

Inktober #10: Gigantic

Always liked the 'giant beast in the distance' imagery, also a chance to do a quick landscape.

Inktober #9: Screech

One for the 90's. Didn't quite get it but ah well. #inktober #inktober2017

Inktober #8: Crooked

Went for a kind of Howl's Movign Castle moving struture. Something with lots of moving parts that is not neat like a normal mecha. Which in a way made it more fun to draw. This was also the first I've done straight to ink without any initial pencil so my creative agility got a bit of a workout. Wanted to really get the crooked feeling without too much 'design'.  #inktober #inktober2017

Inktober #7: Shy

Wall E is probably the cutest robot. Here he is being his usual adorable self. May have taken a sort cut with his tracks.  #inktober #inktober2017

Inktober #6: Sword

Had to catch up with a few today. Here's a kind of steampunk inspired character design. #inktober #inktober2017

Inktober #4: Underwater

I didn't quite plan this one out enough. Posting drawings warts and all is a little sobering, and I guess that's the whole point of the Inktober challenge; to use that scrunity to really hone in your skills. That left leg will haunt me! Definitely need to learn to take more care.

Inktober #3: Poison

Did this last night but forgot to upload.
Bell Biv DeVoe and that classic Turk dance scene from Scrubs was what came to mind.

Inktober #2: Divided

Divided.

I don't usually like FPS games but every now and then one with interesting game mechanics and a story that pulls you in comes along. For me, Deus Ex: Human Revolution was one of those. I loved the the Blade Runner-esque vibe it had (wierdly can't think of that many games that do despite the multitude of movies that copy it). Having finished Manking Divided I was a little disapointed by it but still enjoyed playing it. Maybe it was the lack of locales, a lack of resolution to some interesting questions that the game throws up and an ending that was just a bit 'meh'. Still, I look forward to the next one. Drawing wise there's still much to work on, but definitely starting to enjoy it again!

Inktober #1: Swift

Wow, its been a whole hasn't it? Finally decided to do this inktober thing and, obviously, despite using the prompt I've gone with a mocha twist. Surprise, surprise. It hasn't just been long time since I've posted anything but a long time since I've really drawn anything. Full stop. And it shows (admit it!). The first prompt is swift and I probably went a a little too loose with this. But, what better way to get back into the groove of things than to do this challenge. Here's hoping I keep to it and learn to actually draw again!
